It's not great for raid bosses (I could be wrong), but it does wonders against normal enemies. For me, I can kill most humanoid enemies in 1-2 shots with not even a very heavy sniping build. For raid bosses I'd recommend the lyuda/white death (dropped from I think Gettle in the Dust).
