Protein type aa terminal
WebIn AA amyloidosis organ damage results from the extracellular deposition of the soluble acute-phase reactant serum amyloid A (SAA) protein as insoluble amyloid fibrils. A sustained high concentration of SAA produced by the liver during a chronic inflammatory state is the prerequisite for developing AA amyloidosis [ 1 ]. AA amyloidosis is a form of amyloidosis, a disease characterized by the abnormal deposition of fibers of insoluble protein in the extracellular space of various tissues and organs. In AA amyloidosis, the deposited protein is serum amyloid A protein (SAA), an acute-phase protein which is normally soluble and whose plasma concentration is highest during inflammation.

WebNov 30, 1998 · The K --> E mutation in either PVC or a site-directed mutant of tobacco etch virus (TEV) did not hinder binding to capsid protein, nor did deletion of the N-terminal 107 aa of TEV HC. An additional mutation, F -->, L at aa 10 of TEV HC, which renders HC non-functional but does not affect binding to capsid protein, is reported.
